Meg Whitman calls time at eBay

Reports say that Meg Whitman, CEO of eBay, is calling time after ten years at the top.  This is the next chapter in a fascinating story as eBay is one of those rare companies that takes VC investment not for the cash (another was Macafee the secutity company), eBay was always cash positive, but to garner the winning ways of the VCs.  With Benchmark on board, Whitman uprooted her family from the east coast to Silicon Valley and swapped her top executive position in a large company to take on tiny eBay.  Within months she was a billionaire – some move, some VC.
