Image via CrunchBase, source unknown Russell Joffrey, according to our ever helpful waiter Steve, is building a chain of Giraffe cafes and already has 21 sites. The one in Cambridge is on Christ’s Lane next to Christ’s College. It is a good place for people watching as there is a stream of people walking too and from the Grafton Centre and Drummer Street bus station. The location goes very quiet in the evenings.
Steve recommends the “Sunrise Menu” as a good way of starting the day. I had my new 3G iPhone in the box so did not find out if wireless is available. The food was tasty. Still lots of flats for sale up above!
No details on the website about the funding of Giraffe but lets hope this is a good time to start a new venture. Does their business plan include an Equity Fingerprint? I gather that there are pension plans available but no options. There are lots of photos on Flickr.
Steve is moving to be a manager of the new Giraffe in Brighton. Apparently there is already a store called Giraffe in Brighton so hope that there is no problem with the name.
