Benchmark has to keep appointing new Entrepreneurs-in-Residence as they keep leaving to build new business with Benchmark having first option to join the funding round. It is not something which happens much in the Cambridge Cluster. Would Cambridge Enterprise appoint an E-i-R? Latest recruit, serial entrepreneur Dan Finnigan, is looking at “large opportunities in vertical marketing algorithms for advertising”. Now algorithms is something which the Cambridge Cluster does well so there is plenty of opportunity out there. Perhaps we need a Horizon day?
