Mike Lynch at CEC8 said you can forget work/life balance when building a business. Belinda Earl says the same as she turns round Jaegers. But then they both have major stakes in their companies. Lynch was a founder of Automony so that is how he got his stake. The Financial Times reports that Earl has 20% of Jaeger with retail entrepreneur, Harold Tillman, owning 70%.
Has Tillman made a great deal by “giving” Earl the 20%? If you need equity to modify your own work/life balance why not let others join the party?
