Is this the missing link in the Cambridge Cluster?

The Cambridge Evening News article on the changes at nCipher has this comment from the man with no pony tail, the new boss Geoffrey Finlay, 54, a racing driver, and one of those chaps who has already made his fortune but just can’t keep away “there’s not enough nurturing/mentoring here. There are lots of extremely bright young people who do not have enough access to people who truly understand profit and loss.”

Mr Finlay has already closed one deal. Will we see nCipher realising the potential that enabled it to raise so much money from new shareholders and then return most of it to the old shareholders over the last couple of years?

Mr Finlay is also chair of CacheLogic and helped raise $20million. He is certainly a person who utilises the power of his company’s equity.
