Whilst Geoff and Sally go up North to walk over twenty miles up and down dale, I go up to enjoy a few strolls and to watch the Sedbergh Tens. The first day was clear blues skies with a cold wind and the next a mist which burnt off during the day. Millfield took the honours but a new force in school’s rugby contested the finals, Filton College from Bristol. Filton had a rugby academy and produces talented and well trained kids. Of course it is not possible to watch top school boys’ football at under 18s as they all play for the academies of professional clubs.
Back to Cambridge to help prepare for the final game of the season and a must win, CRUFC v Redruth. Steve Wilson of CamResUK, hotel and conference bookings, is in charge of the clubhouse and the lettings. He was keeping an eye on the excellent work of Swish Clean, domestic cleaning specialists.
I wonder what Grant Dain, internet marketing Cambridge, would think of the websites of CamRes and Swish Clean, The latter must have too much business!
Like all successful businesses and clubs, you need an entrepreneur at the helm. CRUFC has Jerry Otter of Gunite leading the way. Gunite renovated the flats used in The Apprentice. But the website does not make the services offered by Gunite clear.
