On and off The Kennet & Avon Canal

On top of a hill is the Wilton Windmill which offers wonderful views and shelter from the prevailing winds.  It is a bit of a stride up the hill if you are used to the canal path but you pass a wonderful pub.

On the canal I saw a narrow boat run by the Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People, Leatherhead, Surrey.  Plenty of room for the disabled people and their electric buggies.

I watched the Lady Margaret and Lady Line Hotel boats cruise by – maybe something for me!

And people recommended the pubs in Great Bedwyn – The Three Tuns and The Cross Keys.
