Not everyone comes from Cambridge!

Snell & Wilcox is on the fringes of the Cambridge Cluster and is based in Saffron Walden – better known as the birth place of Charles Dunstone of Carphone Warehouse fame and posh homes for bankers commuting to London from Wendens Ambo.

Snell & Wilcox provides clever gadgets to make videos more exciting. Started in 1973 as a consultancy by Roderick Snell who remains Founder and Research Director, the company now has offices around the world.

Surprisingly they have a VC on board who may have helped buy out one of the founders or funded recent growth. They are the well known Advent Venture Partners. It would make an interesting Equity Fingerprint, the business plan resource.

None of the management team seem to have links with Cambridge University so let us hope they join us soon. The chairman was at Oxford – must be a banker!
