Colin Macnab has moved on from Artimi (developer of high-speed wireless semiconductors for portable consumer electronics) after three successful years bringing the company through the development stage. Andrew Vought takes over and “brings his 30 years of semiconductor and technology operations expertise to lead the company during this phase of accelerated growth”. It is horses for courses and let us hope Artimi gallops home! Vought was most recently CEO of BroadLight, building the company into the market leader in semiconductors for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments. Broadlight is also a big punt by the VCs.
Disclosure: a tiny shareholding in Artimi provides a view from the stands and not the ring-side view of the VCs.

I wonder on what grounds you claim Colin Macnab’s period as CEO to be succesful? Perhaps you are referring to the huge staff turn-over he was responsible for and resulting poor reputation as an employer?
To my knowledge Artimi never taped out a working RF device while he was there and are having to rely on parters to supply this essential component of the solution.
