Hal Varian, the Economist of Google, answers questions at Freakonomics in the New York Times. As you might expect he loves data and is now beginning to use Bayseian techniques more. He recommends that if students want to increase their chances in the job market, then they should take lots of courses on how to manipulate and analyse data. Our friends, Bill Fitzgerald and David Excell are right on the button with their new venture, Feature Space. By the way, this is my first post written whilst out and about -thanks to Red Bull wireless and juice.
