Image via WikipediaEver since I raced up a ladder with five bricks, at least, in my right hand to prove myself more macho than a very handsome toy-boy (not mine) from Brisbane, Australia, I have suffered from a stretched or pinched nerve in my right neck and shoulder. It is not helped by sitting at a desk using a mouse for long periods so I have to remember to stand and stretch.
When I am along the M4 corridor I make an appointment with Jenny Grimstone of Fairoak Sports Therapy. Jenny has a degree in clinical sports therapy, the experience of staying fit to throw a javelin at the highest level and fingers which can unravel the maze of knots in what remains of my muscles and tendons.
Fairoak Sports Therapy includes Homeotherapy, Reflexology, Reiki and Pilates.
Therapy helps so much but I need to put in the walking miles and get back to the gym to keep me mobile. But thanks to Jenny for keeping me going.
